Privacy Policy.
The short story: your audio never leaves your device. This page explains the few things that do happen behind the scenes.
Effective date: November 1, 2026
1 Who we are
StemSplit Studio ("we", "us") operates the website stemsplitter.tuti.lt — a suite of free, browser-based audio tools including a six-stem song splitter, vocal remover, key & BPM finder, speed & pitch changer, remix maker, audio cutter, joiner and recorder.
For any privacy question, request or complaint, contact us at info@tuti.lt.
2 The short version
- Your audio is never uploaded. Every tool processes sound locally in your browser. We never receive, see or store your music.
- No accounts. We don't ask for your name, email address or payment details, so we hold no account database.
- Anonymous analytics only. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to count page views and understand which tools are used most.
- No advertising cookies. We don't run ads and we don't sell or share personal data.
- You stay in control. Everything stored on your device (saved projects, preferences) can be cleared by you at any time.
3 Your audio files and recordings
All audio processing — decoding, stem separation, key detection, pitch shifting, cutting, joining, mixing and exporting — happens entirely inside your browser using the Web Audio API. Your files are loaded into your device's memory, processed there and written back to your disk only when you choose to export or save.
The same applies to the Sing & Record tool: your microphone signal is captured by the browser, mixed with the backing track locally, and never transmitted to us or to any third party. When you close or refresh the page, everything in memory is discarded.
We operate no upload endpoint and no audio storage, so there is nothing for us to leak, sell or hand over.
4 Data we collect automatically
To understand how the site is used and which tools deserve improvement, we use Google Analytics 4. When you visit, Google records standard technical information:
- Pages viewed and time spent on them;
- Your browser type and version, operating system and device category;
- Your approximate geographic region (country or city level);
- The referring site, if you arrived from a link;
- Events such as opening a tool or starting the studio.
This data is pseudonymous — it does not include your name, email address or any identifier you choose to give us. Google Analytics is configured so that IP addresses are not stored in full. If you email us, we process your message and address solely to reply and to help you; we do not add you to any mailing list.
The legal basis for analytics under the GDPR is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given or withdrawn through your browser's cookie settings or a consent tool; for replying to your emails it is our legitimate interest in providing support (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
5 Cookies
We set no cookies of our own. Google Analytics sets the following cookies when you visit:
- _ga — distinguishes unique visitors; stored for up to 2 years;
- _ga_<container-id> — persists session state; stored for up to 2 years.
You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings at any time — every tool on the site keeps working without them. You can also install Google's official opt-out browser add-on or use your browser's private browsing mode.
6 Data stored on your device
The tools use your browser's local storage to keep small amounts of data on your own machine — for example your mixer preferences or the state of an unfinished session. This data never leaves your browser and we cannot read it remotely. Clearing your browser's site data removes it instantly.
Saved project files are ordinary downloads: they are written wherever your browser saves files and are yours to keep, move or delete.
7 Third-party services
The only third-party processor engaged by the site is Google Ireland Limited, providing Google Analytics. Google may process analytics data outside the European Economic Area; such transfers are safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can read Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
The site also relies on standard browser capabilities (Web Audio, Canvas, microphone capture) which run entirely on your device and are not governed by this policy.
8 Data retention
Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics according to its standard retention period and is deleted automatically afterwards. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to resolve your question. Audio, projects and preferences stored on your device remain there until you delete them or clear your browser data.
9 Children's privacy
The site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU, where local law requires parental consent for analytics cookies). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@tuti.lt and we will delete it.
10 Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we process about you;
- Rectify inaccurate data;
- Have your data erased;
- Restrict or object to processing;
- Data portability;
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.
Because we hold no account database and receive no audio, the personal data connected to you is limited to anonymous analytics records and any email you have sent us. To exercise any right, write to info@tuti.lt — we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Lithuania this is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (ada.lt).
11 Security
The site is served over HTTPS, which encrypts traffic between your browser and the server. Since your audio never leaves your device and we store no personal data server-side, the most sensitive information in this whole system never leaves your hands.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The effective date at the top of the page always reflects the latest version, and significant changes will be summarised here. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
