01 Our story

StemSplit Studio started with a simple frustration: separating vocals from a song online meant uploading your music to a stranger's server, waiting in a queue, creating an account and settling for a watermarked, low-quality result. For musicians working on unreleased material, that trade-off was a non-starter.

So we built the opposite. Every tool on this site — the six-stem splitter, vocal remover, key & BPM finder, speed & pitch changer, remix maker, cutter, joiner and recorder — runs entirely inside your browser. Your audio is decoded, analyzed and rendered on your own device using the Web Audio API. It is never uploaded, because there is simply nowhere for it to go.

That single design decision shapes everything else: no servers burning GPU cycles means the tools can stay free; no uploads means no waiting rooms; no accounts means no personal data to protect. You open the page, you work, you own the result.

• Privacy is a feature, not a policy. The safest upload is the one that never happens.
• Pro tools shouldn't cost money to try. No trials, no locked exports, no watermarks — ever.
• Friction kills creativity. No sign-up, no installs; a song should be split in under a minute.
• Your files are yours. We claim nothing over what you make here.
